Hope Amidst the Silence

Rape occurs in homes and on streets. It is committed by those unknown to the victim and by those known to the victim. It has and continues to be used as a weapon of war. It is committed against women, men and children. It is an act which invades not only the body, but the very 'self' of a person and can have devastating consequences.

 

Rape is an act which is surrounded by silence or myth, more generally by both in some measure. This silence is also found amongst the Christian community.

This site is for all victims of rape: Men and women. Christian and non-Christian. For the former, I hope it will be a place to find encouragement. For the non believer, may it be a means through which you will come to understand that there is hope and peace available through the living Lord Jesus.
