Rape of women is
widespread. It occurs within domestic settings, social and
public spaces, and continues to be used as a weapon of war .
Rape devastates individuals, families, and communities.
Christian voice on issues such as abortion and homosexuality
are perceptible: related books and concerned
groups found with relative ease. The Christian
community is 'quieter', much 'quieter' , on the issue
of rape. It is that known, but unspoken
problem.
This site reflects
the ongoing journey of one person : from unbelief, to faith -and a
need to hear and understand His voice on rape. My hope
is that through this site God will speak to the
unbeliever whose own trauma may have brought them to the point of
despair and who ask 'why?'. Christians are told to be
'...prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks [them] to
give the reason for the hope that [they] have' (1
Peter 3:15-16). Secondly, my hope is that He will use
this site to speak to the Christian victim of rape who
is looking for a way beyond the wall of
silence.
He reveals the deep
things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the
light
